TREATMENTS / PROCEDURES

Mission: To promote dermatology and plastic surgery physician’s collaboration in advancing the field of aesthetic medicine in patient care, satisfaction and safety.
Have you ever wondered what is the difference between a cosmetic surgeon and a plastic surgeon?
Both offer non-invasive, semi-invasive treatments, laser and light aesthetic procedures. These treatments are usually quick, lunch break procedures such as botulinum toxin injections (aka Botox, Dysport, Xeomin etc) to correct fine lines and wrinkles, fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Belotero etc) to bring volume and fullness to the face and laser, light and radiofrequency devices to treat various aesthetic skin concerns such as acne, skin rejuvenation, skin resurfacing, fat, cellulite, stretch marks, wrinkle reduction, etc. Dermatologists may call themselves cosmetic surgeons when correcting skin conditions (using botulinum toxins, fillers, laser, light and radio-frequency devices) beyond medical treatments and may also perform non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures with additional training. A trained cosmetic plastic surgeon  performs advanced aesthetic procedures to provide drastic cosmetic outcomes surgically, these include, breast enhancement: augmentation, lift, reduction, facial contouring: rhinoplasty, chin, or cheek enhancement, facelift, eyelid lift, neck lift, brow lift, body contouring: tummy tuck, liposuction, gynecomastia treatment etc.
